Marios Koukounaras-Liagkis <\/strong>is born in Komotini in 1971. He lives in Athens with his wife. He studied Theology (\u0392\u0391, \u039c\u0391, PhD) Greek Literature (BA), and Education Sciences (PostDoc). He is an\u00a0Associate Professor of Pedagogy and Religious Education at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens<\/strong>\u00a0(NKUA), School of Theology, Dep. of Theology and also\u00a0he is\u00a0Director of t\u00a0Laboratory of Pedagogy and RE at\u00a0National and Kapodistrian University of Athens\u00a0(NKUA)<\/strong>. He worked as a Religious Education teacher and as a Consultant to the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n

He has organized and implemented (or applied) numerous of\u00a0Educational Projects<\/strong>\u00a0in cooperation with National Theatre, General Youth Secretary, International Amnesty, NGOs and Greek Educational Organizations as Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation etc.<\/div>\n

He has been working since 2008 as a\u00a0teacher trainer<\/strong>\u00a0in seminars\/trainings and programmes which were organized by European Wergeland Center, Council of Europe, Greek Pedagogical Institute, Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Panteion University, Interorthodox Centre of the Church of Greece etc.<\/p>\n

His\u00a0research interests<\/strong>\u00a0focus on\u00a0Religious Education (Learning and Teaching), Curriculum (Philosophy, Development and Assessment), Teacher\u2019s professional development, Human Rights\/Competences for Democratic Culture, Inclusive Education, Social Pedagogy and Drama\/Theatre in Education<\/strong>.\u00a0His publications include 10 books and a numerus of articles\/papers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He has worked as a coordinator on an Erasmus+ (KA2) project on the teaching of Competencis of Democratic Culture (https:\/\/www.stepup-dc.eu\/<\/a>), as director of a Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning Entity of the NKUA (https:\/\/learninn.gr\/<\/a>), as an expert in the RE Curriculum development (Institute of Educational Policy) and as a project trainer and expert in ‘School for all’-Integration of refugee children in Greek Schools (Wergeland Centre and\u00a0Minister of Education and Religious Affairs-https:\/\/theewc.org\/new-ewc-project-launched-in-athens\/<\/a>).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
