Optional Internship & Summer School
The MA Program provides students with the opportunity of having an optional internship (4 weeks) in educational institutions, educational structures and places that are relevant to the MA Program’s subject matter, without demanding payment from the MA or NKUA.
In this context the MA Program organizes an optional face-to-face summer school with tuition fees with a total duration of 4 weeks:
- Time: Every July
- Duration: 2 weeks in fellow institutions
- Type of Institutions: NGOs, Schools, Educational organizations, social intervention organizations
INTERNSHIP
In order for the internship to be approved, students are required to file an application stating the aim, time, internship program, intended learning outcomes and the description of the role they will undertake during the internship.
The Curriculum Committee must approve the internship. A supervisor is appointed to ensure the completion of the Internship. In order for the Internship to be approved, it must be established that the Internship will be useful for students’ research regarding the writing of their master thesis.
SUMMER SCHOOL
The summer school is organized annually by the MA Program and its chosen collaborating institutes, announced in the MA Program’s website. The postgraduate students choose if they want to participate in the offered programs during the spring semester.
The summer school is a form of internship and as such it ECTS are not included in the 75 ECTS of the regular Curriculum; the internship is accredited in the Diploma Annex following the students’ application.
