Identity, Education and Competences for Democratic Culture
The Master Program “Identity, Education and Competences for Democratic Culture” is the first MA Program marking an international collaboration between the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the European Wergeland Centre of the Council of Europe providing expertise on Competences for Democratic Culture and insights on their implementation in Education.
The National and Kapodistrian University is the longest standing University in Greece since its establishment in 1837. NKUA offers high-quality Programmes ranking high in global and European rankings: in 2024 it held the 89th position globally among 5565 Higher Education Institutes and the 16th position among European Universities according to the “Top Universities by Top Google Scholar Citations” by Webometrics. NKUA also ranks as the top Greek University.
The MA Program is the only one in Greece to provide:
- Fully online/distance learning methods with no on-campus presence required (synchronous courses and asynchronous study on NKUA’s e-class)
- One-year studies (2 semesters with courses + the summer for the master thesis)
- No visa or relocation fees!
- Modern experiential and interactive teaching methods
- Greek and international instructors that are experts on their field
- Extra ECTS by participating in the optional internship/summer school organized in partnership with recognized organizations (offered on-site with tuition fees).
