PhD Options after graduation
A prerequisite for continuing studies at the doctoral level in Greece is the acquisition of a Master’s Degree. The aim of the Master’s Program “Identity, Education, and Competencies for Democratic Culture” is to enable its graduates to pursue doctoral studies related to the subjects of the program, as Democratic Culture and its applications in Education is a new and broad field that offers opportunities for new scientific initiatives and research.
Possibilities for doctoral studies:
- During their studies, master students have access to personalized academic counseling to explore their options for a doctoral dissertation.
- Graduates may choose a professor teaching in related subjects as their supervisor and apply within the deadlines announced by each department of the University of Athens from which the supervisor originates.
- During their studies, students are also informed about doctoral agreements within the Erasmus CIVIS framework.
