Learn Greek online in the Modern Greek Language Teaching Center – Panayiotis Kontos of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
Τhe Modern Greek Language Teaching Center – Panayiotis Kontos of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens along with the MA Program “Identity, Education and Competences for Democratic Culture” offers intensive online greek courses for foreign students enrolled in the MA Program who wish to acquire basic knowledge of the Greek language (A1 Level).
This is a unique opportunity to master basic communication skills in Greek, while also exploring modern Greek culture. This program also prepares students for the exams of the Centre for the Greek Language that leads to obtaining the Level A1 Greek Language Proficiency Certificate.
Program Details
- Duration: 15 weeks
- Language of educational materials and lessons: English
- Total hours: 180 hours
- 150 hours of asynchronous learning and
- 30 hours of synchronous teaching in small groups (with instructors from the MGLTC -PK).
- Tuition fee: 270 €. Students enrolled in the MA Program receive an additional 25% discount that rounds up the total cost to 200 €
- Registration: 30/01/2025 – 14/02/2025
- Course Start Date: 24/02/2025 and Course End Date: 13/06/2025
- Teaching pace: one (1) online lesson per week on Monday & Tuesday or Wednesday & Thursday with the following time options: 11:00-12:00 or 14:00-15:00 or 21:00-22:00 (UTC+2)
Prerequisites:
- Basic knowledge of English
- Basic computer literacy
- PC (with a camera, microphone, speakers, Greek keyboard) and a good internet connection.
- There is no need for previous knowledge of Greek.
