Tsirevelos Nikolaos

Nikolaos Tsirevelos is Laboratory Teaching Staff at the Faculty of Theology, School of Theology AUTh. He studied theology in Thessaloniki (2000), where he received his master’s degree in “Theology and Culture” specializing in “Ecumenical Theology” (2007). He holds a PhD in Theology with a specialization in Religious Communication (Homiletics) and Intercultural Christian Witness (2014). In 2019 he completed his post-doctoral research on the contemporary way of transmitting and receiving the Gospel message through preaching in the modern pluralistic and multicultural society. His scientific subject is Missionary, Intercultural Christian Witness and Communication.

At the Faculty of Theology of AUTH he teaches “Education and Cultural Pluralism”, “Islam and Education”, “Interreligious Dialogue”, “World Religions”. He has taught “Orthodoxy and Culture at Education” and “Teaching of Religious Education” as adjunct lecturer at the Department of Primary Education of the University of Western Macedonia (2021-2023). He also has taught “Religious Studies” as adjunct lecturer at the Department of Primary Education of the University of Thessaly (2020-2023) and “Religion and Society” at the Department of Primary Education of the University of the Aegean (2020-2021). He also teaches “Religious Education” as Visitor Lecturer at the Department of “Theology and Culture” at the University “Logos” in Tirana and “Interreligious dialogue and Communication” at the Université Orthodoxe Au Congo (2019-2024).

His studies and articles have been published in various scientific journals and collective volumes and he has participated as a speaker in various scientific conferences and workshops. He collaborated in the writing of the new Secondary School Religious Studies Curricula (2023) under the supervision of the Educational Policy Institute. He is also an Educator in various scientific seminars and educational programs of the Educational Policy Institute, various Universities, and the Volos Academy for Theological Studies. His research topics refer to Religious Education, Christian Witness, Intercultural Communication and Interreligious Relations.
