Call for applications online Master’s Program Identity, Education and Democratic Culture

The Master’s Program Identity, Education and Competences for Democratic Culture of the National University of Athens (Greece) and the European Wergeland Centre (Council of Europe and Norway) announces the start of the submission of applications for the academic year 2026-2027. The submission of applications and supporting documents will be completed on 30/6/2026.
The pioneering Joint Master’s Programme is a one-year, fully online programme combining live online classes (Friday and Saturday) with asynchronous study. The Program is conducted in English and offers three specializations.
- Religion, Education and Competences for Democratic Culture
- Language, History, and Literature in Education and Competences for Democratic Culture
- Education for Democratic Citizenship (EDC)-Human Rights Education (HRE) and Competences for Democratic Culture
Upon completion a Master’s Diploma is awarded.
Candidates submit their application by sending the supporting documentation to the MA Program’s Secretariat: secr_MAdemocracy@theol.uoa.gr so that their file can be assessed.

- CV (mandatory)
- Photocopy of both sides of the ID card or Passport (mandatory)
- Copy of degree or certificate of completion of studies (mandatory)
- Detailed undergraduate course grades (mandatory)
- Certificate of English language proficiency level B2 and above (mandatory)
- 1 Letter of recommendation (mandatory)
- Scientific publications (if any)
- Evidence of professional or research activity (if any)
