Konstantinos Sipitanos, Ph.D. is postdoctoral researcher in the University of Crete with the theme: “Development and Evaluation of teaching materials of semantic web (web 3.0) digital literacy practices”. He also teachers in the University of Athens and in the Hellenic Open University His papers have been published  in Education Sciences,  Social Semiotics,  Educational Action Research Journal, Punctum International Journal of Semiotics, IJEL Studies,  EURO-JCS, and chapters in Routledge and  Cambridge Scholars Publishing. He has also participated in research projects funded: a. by EU under the Erasmus+ actions such as S.HI.E.L.D. against Disnfo, Entrevista al passado: Democracia y Europa hoy, COALITION,  CICADA and BackpackID and b. by state organizations such as Developing and Defining  Artificial Intelligent: A MOOC for all, “Disseminating Democracy in Schools” and the “Principals discourses in school settings”. His main research interest concern: curricula,  literacies (media, critical and digital) literacy, social semiotics, participatory action research and students’ voice.
